Youth Fitness

Give your children a gift that will last a lifetime… their health.

Sadly, an epidemic here in the United States is the obesity of American children. With the Nintendo culture, and the lack of physical education programs in today’s schools we are faced with an uphill battle to keep kids healthy.

Exercise and nutrition should be stressed to our youth at a very young age in order to ensure a healthy lifestyle in their future. This lifestyle if implemented early can help prevent obesity and a number of health related problems developed later in life.

Unfortunately, there has always been a lack of experienced trainers who know how to work with a younger client. The child’s body is completely different, and needs to be treated and trained as such.

For example a child has an immature skeleton. Their bones do not mature until somewhere between the ages 14 and 22 years – depending on gender and maturational levels.

This being said, in girls, exercises during childhood can have a critical effect on bone health that can last a lifetime– Helping to increase bone density and prevent osteoporosis.

With an Epic Fitness trainer, you can expect experience working with children, teenagers, and young adults.
