Sport Specific Training and Conditioning for Volleyball

While time on the court is essential to the skill development of a volleyball player at any level, it is the sweat equity off the court that pays dividends for the athlete.

From 12 & under to professional, our athletes understand the importance of volleyball specific off-court training. The unique movements performed on the court can only be improved through proper programming tailored specifically to the sport of volleyball. Our programs build strength, speed, explosiveness, agility, balance, coordination, reactivity, and general athleticism.

Our programming focuses on those areas most important to the volleyball player:

    • Strike with a solid foundation resulting in harder and more accurate hitting

Our unique Epic Fitness prehabilitation techniques keep players on the court and off the sidelines. We strengthen areas prone to overuse and injury such as the rotator cuff, knees, hands, and wrists while ensuring proper mechanics at all times. Each volleyball player receives a movement screening identifying asymmetrical or inefficient movements, and our performance coaches tailor the athlete’s training around improving those deficiencies thereby reducing the likelihood of injury.

Epic Fitness periodized training programs are designed around the athlete’s competition schedule to maximize improvements while avoiding overtraining during critical times.
